Week 1 Task 1

The first task was to familiarise ourselves with the user interface and basic controls. We were shown some short keys and mouse controls which make working in the program more efficient. After drawing two basic shapes in the perspective view the first tool we were asked to use was the alignment tool. It is important to correctly align objects for accurate modelling.

After managing the basics the next task was to create a well known building using the tools and techniques that had just shown.
The image below shows the scale tool beign used.


This image shows the clone tool in use. To use this tool the object to be cloned needed to be selected and then either right click and select clone or press a and drag away from original object.



Below is an example of the alginment tool.


Objects can be moved along a certain axis to ensure they stay on the correct allignment. An example is hown below.


This is the completed model of the White House.
